The Slovak festival of drums took place in Bratislava in 2013 for the second time. It aimed to introduce drummers and percussionists of various styles from Slovakia and around the world. The proposed line-up consisted of various participating musicians e.g. TAIKO Japan Drum Orchestra (HU), Gamelan Orchestra Gong Kebyar , Amadrums Trio (PL), Vladiswar Nadishana, Djakali Kone and local musicians as Pavol Bodnár Band,  & Eddy Portella and many more.

The headliners of the festival were a well-known Egyptian percussionist Hossam Ramzy and Martin Verdonk, the excellent multi-genre musician, Nadishana, Siberian multinstrumentalist and music instrument´s inventor.

Tortola Drums (SK) - kids ensemble from Hrdličkova (School for hearing handicapped children)
Gamelan Gong Kebyar (IND, SK)- Gamelan ensemble based in Bratislava with indonesian dance performance
Djakali Kone band- westafrican rhytms, kora and guitar.
Djakali Kone is a musician from Burkina Faso.Due to his talent many well known musicians from Africa and Europe engaged him to play with them, such as "Les Frères Coulibaly", Oumou Sangare, Duni Paece, Smockey (a rapper from Burkina Faso), Awadi (Senegal) and Sami Rama (singer from Burkina Faso). During the following years he became known to many professional musicians in Switzerland und started to perform with them - e.g. with the group" Jonas et le Taxibrousse Orchestra", Kara Sylla Ka, and Ismael Lo (Senegal). Djakali Kone came to Austria in 2010 in order to continue his professional carreer together with Mamadou Diabate, a balafonist from Burkina Faso who is well known in Austria, Europe and Africa. It´s also in Austria he started to work with artists like Wolfgang Puschnig, Sigi Finkel, Studio Percussion Graz, Silvio Gabriel, Ismael Barrios, Congarilla and Insingizi. In december 2011 he won the "Austrian Wolrd Music Award 2011" with his group Percussion Mania.
Amadrums Trio (PL)- Trio of young talented winners of International music contest from Krakow will perform contemporary music  of  Guo Wenjing,  Paul Lansky,  Michel Camilo, David Lang, Thierry De Mey - Table Music and Nebojsa Jovan Zivković.
HOSSAM RAMZY - egyptian legend, doyen of the World music. His collaborations with jazz musicians earned him the nickname "The Sultan of Swing". He worked with Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Page&Robert Plant, Sting, Shakira, Chic Corea,etc. In November 2001 at the 25th Anniversary of the ARC Music record company, with whom Hossam has released 18 Albums in his own name for the Egyptian dance, he was awarded a PLATINUM disc for being their top selling artist, over 200.000 record sales. His latest album, Rock the Tabla features Indian composer A.R. Rahman, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Manu Katché and Billy Cobham.

Taiko Hungary - Japan  Taiko Drum band with Hungarian esprit
Vladiswar Nadishana (RUS) - is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer from Siberia, who creates his own unique and innovative approach to world fusion music - the creative synthesis of different musical traditions of the world on the basis of contemporary technologies. Nadishana. as inventor renovated and developed the playing technique on several instruments. Since seriously interested in ethnic music he masters many instruments: sitar, mandola, chanzy, bouzouki, jew's harp, kou xiang, khomus, morsing, ethnic percussion,  winds etc.

Pavol Bodnár band & Ecce Jazz Band (SK) - excellent Slovak composer  will  introduce musics based on Slovak folklore, world music and jazz with percussionist Eddy Portella and outstanding Slovak musicians.

MARTIN VERDONK (HOL) - outstanding percussionist and percussion inventor - drum clinic. He is known as one of the best allround-percussionists of the world who is familiar with pop, rock, funk, soul, jazz, fusion, latin and world music. He performed with artists like Steve Winwood, Lionel Richie, Donna Summer, Santana, Prince and many more. He has been awarded as the best percussionist from readers od the dutch magazine »Slagwerkkrant« twelve times as best percussionist and the U.S. Magazine 'Drum' awarded Martin as one of the 4 best clincians worldwide.  The audience in Bratislava will have an unique opportunity to observe his style and technique skills.

GUEM (F) & Peter Gabis (A)- The "man with golden fingers" Guem made his name accompanying the creme de la creme of french and american jazzmen. In 1978 he scored his first great succes “ Guem and Zaka”. Now, with more than 30 albums, Guem got to conquer and federate a very wide audience, fascinated by his skills and his mastery of percussions. Together with Austrian drummer Peter Gabis Guem will provide an exciting  Africa-Orient Express journey full of oriental and african trance rhytms.
